SAFETY SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP COURSE (January 24 - 25, 2012)

COURSE DESCRIPTION: This 2-day supervisory course is designed to develop the supervisory and leadership skills of supervisors. As an "agent of the employer" the supervisor assumes the responsibilities of the employer to the degree he or she has been given authority. This course will introduce you to some of the basic employer responsibilities to OSHA law, and the obligations the employer and employees have to each other. Fulfilling these obligations is a function of competent management and leadership: the theme throughout the entire course. The supervisor bears the greatest responsibility and accountability for implementing the safety and health program because it is he or she who works most directly with the employee.

OBJECTIVES: Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to: (1) Apply successful management and leadership principles to make sure their employees enjoy an injury- and illness-free work environment. (2) Take immediate, direct action to make sure that his or her work area is safe and healthful for all employees. (3) Develop a proactive safety and health system that employs strategies that not only meet OSHA requirements, but far exceed them.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Safety officers, safety committee members, or every supervisor who is getting into the occupational safety and health field as part of their responsibility.

Schedule: January 24-25, 2012.

Seminar Fee: US$500.

The effective solution to the ENERGY, GLOBAL WARMING, AND ECONOMIC CRISES can be encapsulated in just two  words: EFFICIENCY EDUCATION.

Operations and Maintenance departments rely on the power, speed and versatility of machinery and technologies; but with the concern of the worsening Global Warming, there is the strong need for keeping equipment and facilities safe and efficient. With fewer workers and more tasks to complete, managers and technicians need to make machinery safety and efficiency a high priority. A thorough training provided on a regular basis helps achieved these goals; that also results in decreased machine downtime, cost savings, and reduced Greenhouse Gas Emissions. Be sure to train the right people for the right job, and help mitigate Global Warming.

COMMENT FROM FACEBOOK

Arnel Amador: Your rates are equivalent to about US$350. Over here the type of training that you offer would cost about US$1000.00 + Tax (could be more). Your trainees are getting top quality and excellent training at very low rates. They should grab that opportunity right away!

PUMPS & PUMPING SYSTEMS COURSE (Sept. 27-28, 2011): Design, Installation, Operation, Maintenance

For a more educated and fine-tuned workforce to face the triple crises of ENERGY, ECONOMICS, and CLIMATE CHANGE.

NOTE: The above outline reflects typical course content and is not meant to show a daily schedule. Daily schedules and course material covered may change due to the differing needs of each individual class.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: This two-day course presents a comprehensive and practical study of the different types of pumps commonly found in industry. This course provides participants practical knowledge and understanding to properly select, install, operate, and maintain various pumps and their corresponding piping systems. Although other types of pumps are discussed, the most common centrifugal pump is given much time in the course. Corrective measures are given to solve pumps' troubles, as well as, reduce pump failures to minimize your maintenance costs, reduce downtime, and improve productivity.

OBJECTIVES: After this course, the participants will be able to: (1) Properly select the right size and type of pump based on the liquid to be transferred, and the systems head. (2) Calculate the Total dynamic Head (TDH) and NPSH available. (3) Properly operate, troubleshoot, and maintain pumps and their associated pipes/fittings.

TRAINING METHODOLOGY:  (1) Lecture with powerpoint slides, videos, and animations. (2) Design Workshop of a typical pumping system. (3) Questions and Answers Open Forum.

WHY THIS COURSE... Any  malfunction or breakdown of a pump could damage other equipment, even paralyze or stops production. Pump failure reduction can save your company a very sizable amount of money each year, in addition to increased productivity.
