COURSE DESCRIPTION  AND OBJECTIVES: This 3-day course presents a comprehensive study to give participants practical knowledge and understanding of the efficient operation, safe maintenance, and  troubleshooting of refrigeration equipment and air-conditioning systems found in industrial and commercial establishments. Both the mechanical and electrical troubleshooting are discussed. In addition, many HVAC practical tips and remedies are also given in this vital course.

To help mitigate Global Warming, we introduce the Refrigeration Technologies that use WATER as refrigerant instead of CFC's; these are the Lithium Bromide Absorption System and the Steam-Jet Refrigeration System. After this course participants will be confident and safe in the efficient operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of HVAC systems in their Plants and Buildings.

METHODS OF INSTRUCTION: (1) Classroom multimedia presentations (powerpoint, videos, and animations). (2) Practical exercises on the use of PSYCHROMETRIC CHART and SUPERHEAT ADJUSTMENT. (3) Questions and Answers Open Forum.
