Although we are at the forefront of Advanced Science &  Technology Management and Education, we are careful not to forget the BASICS & FUNDAMENTALS of Science & Technologies. And these include the Basics of Human Factor Engineering.

THE WEAKEST LINK BETWEEN HUMANS AND MACHINES

It is a common mistake for employees, technicians, engineers, executives, and corporations to forget or just assume the basics with their excitement in the so-called "High-Tech" or advanced technologies. Even the mainstream Training Institutions and Universities are also guilty of this.

The BASICS, if not used or reviewed, are usually FORGOTTEN and/or misunderstood. This causes an Attitude and Mindset that become the Weakest Link in the interface between the Software (Humans) and the Hardware (Machines); resulting to Human Errors, Lapses in Judgment, Wrong or No Actions, and Unwise Decisions.

With these poor Human Factors, conditions are created that are Costly, Unsafe, Unstable, and Inefficient; leading to serious/deadly accidents and enormous wastes of energy, materials, quality, downtime, money, and even waste of Human Lives! And all these Wastes and Losses are converted into destructive forces via Climate Change and Global Warming Disasters!

WE MUST PREVENT THE SMALL MISTAKES AND ERRORS THAT BREED CATASTROPHIC DISASTERS
 
A wrong button pressed, or an error in the opening and closing of a valve, or just a misinterpretation of a control parameter (pressure, temperature, level, etc.) is sufficient to bring your business in shambles, or to have a tragic accident and environmental disaster. We should never forget the lessons learned from the Three-Mile Island nuclear incident in the USA, the Bhopal disaster in India, the Exxon Valdez oil spill in Alaska, and the Gulf of Mexico Oil Spill, just to name a few. An error of a blue-collar worker is truly very costly and deadly, which justifies training, even a costly training.

DON'T FORGET THE BASICS! BECAUSE HIGH-TECHNOLOGY IS JUST A COMBINATION OF THE SIMPLE & BASIC PRINCIPLES

As all matter are made of the simple atomic structure, all High-Technology hardware machinery and software devices were made possible only by the complex combinations of the basic principles of the Sciences. And, usually people are impressed by these advanced technologies, and they tend to belittle and forget the basic principles of science. With this attitude and mindset, problems and inefficiencies are surely created. And, if these problems and inefficiencies are tackled without the Basics and Fundamentals, they will get worse and worst!
