What maintenance really should be, and how we should manage it depends on: 1) The requirements of the marketplace and, 2) The environment of today and tomorrow. Therefore, Maintenance must be managed as a business, thought with a ZERO DOWNTIME mentality, and must be carried out with 100% quality in workmanship.
Once the Building, Factory, Power Plant, or Vehicles are up and running, the efficient PROACTIVE MAINTENANCE methodology must be applied. With this proactive approach about 30 percent or more of the projected greenhouse gas emissions can be avoided with net economic benefit.
